Water St. Banh Mi Cart Update
I've had a few people ask about the status of the Financial District's (sorry for the Twitter FiDi usage but I'm horrible texter and need all lame abbreviations at my disposal) once-mobbed banh mi cart. Well, as of 1:30pm this afternoon, it appeared to be a no show.
Don't these guys know about the banh mi boomlet sweeping the city? They are seriously missing their opportunity to cash in five-bucks-a-pop on the trend.
But more importantly, I was deprived of the lunch I had been thinking about all morning. Maybe the growing Baoguette empire will hear my cries and expand way downtown.

I found them moved 4 blocks down to HANOVER SQUARE between WATER & JOHN street
lily: Thanks for chiming in. I didn’t have time to scout around this afternoon, but glad to hear they still exist. That’s four blocks closer to my office…so I’m all for it.
KRISTA, sorry i gave you the wrong information, the correct location was infront of 10 Hanover square, between Pearl & Water street.
lily: Ah, I figured you meant Pearl and not John St. Thanks for being so diligent. I’m excited because this is only two blocks from my office compared to 10 at the original location. This is the best thing to happen to my lunch hour.
